Comfort, Attention, and Safety
We have accommodations to suit any dog’s needs—no matter their shape or size.

Play All Day
All boarding stays include group playtime or alternate activities based on your dog’s preferences, such as one-on-one playtime.
Boarding Guidelines
In order to provide a fun and safe environment at The Grooming Room, we require all of our clients to comply with a few simple rules and regulations:
- Temperament Test – All dogs will need to pass a temperament test.
- Food – Owners must bring food for their dog to avoid changes in diet which can lead to increased stress and stomach issues. All meals must be portioned and packaged in individual Ziplock bags with their name written on them per length of stay.
- Medication – Must be in the original prescription bottle with the label on it.
- Flea Prevention – All dogs must be flea free and on a flea prevention program. Dogs will be checked and bathed for fleas, if necessary, the owner will be charged for this service.
- Spay-Neuter – All dogs must be spayed/neutered to join us for boarding.
- Vaccinations – All vaccinations should be up to date with proof of records on arrival or emailed to hello@the groomingroompetspa.com
- Rabies (1 or 3 years)
- DHLLP (1 or 3 years)

We just need a little paperwork — don’t worry, it doesn’t take long. You can download them here or pick them up at The Grooming Room Pet Hotel front desk. We ask that you provide current vaccination records and completed forms prior to your dog’s stay.
We require a veterinarian certificate indicating proof of vaccination for Rabies, DLPP, and Bordetella. We recommend the Bordetella vaccination be administered every 6 months or yearly, within the year is required. If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has expired, a 72-hour waiting period is required after the administration.
For all other vaccinations, a 24-hour waiting period is required after the first administration of a vaccination or if it has expired.
All guests must be treated with an effective form of flea control.
All guests must be 4 months or older.
Guests who attend daycare will require a brief temperament evaluation — think of it as a simple “meet and greet.” This ensures the safety of all our guests. Temperament evaluations must be scheduled in advance, just give us a call to let us know you’re coming in. We want to ensure that we have adequate time to get to know your pooch.
Our 72 Hour policy ensures that guests with little or no immunity have not been exposed accidentally and infected with an illness while visiting their veterinarian to get vaccinated. While it may seem a little strict, we prefer to error on caution when it comes to the safety of our guests.
Of course, and we encourage it, as many dogs are sensitive to sudden dietary changes, we find that it’s best to provide their regular food. By request, we can prepare specialized meals, including cooking or thawing if required. In particular cases, a $5 daily fee may apply.
If you forget your dog’s food, we use Blue Buffalo as our house food, which is charged at $2 per meal.
No problem. We can administer medication. Just make sure medication is in the original prescription bottle, clearly labeled and the dosage instructions are included.

As a full-service dog hotel, we provide the comforts of home including premium dog bedding and bowls. That said, you’re welcome to bring your pet’s favorite blanket, toy, or any item with a familiar scent—just clearly mark their items. Please limit it to two items. The Grooming Room cannot guarantee their condition upon check-out.
We have multiple room types with different amenities, there are rooms that can be private, including cozy bedding and bowls for their prepared meals. As for play, all rooms include daycare play with the group (unless your dog is not social then they will have one on one play with a team member). Best of all, there is no shortage of love and cuddles.
